Importing Your Files & Data Into SiteTran

The import feature allows you to upload files that contain source text (your original language), optional corresponding translations, as well as other optional data. This feature enables you to easily migrate your source text and/or existing translations into SiteTran, and also to move translations between sites/projects, making it easy to manage large volumes of translation data.

Import consists of two steps:

  1. File Validation: SiteTran reads and verifies the uploaded file, ensuring it meets structural and data requirements. Any issues, including missing and/or invalid data and incorrect formats, will be reported to you so that you can fix it before trying again.
  2. Import: After a successful validation, you choose the languages and translators to include from your file, and then your data is imported into your SiteTran project.

Supported File Types

CSV, JSON, and XLIFF are supported. Each filetype has specific structural requirements. Files that don’t meet these requirements may be rejected or result in incomplete imports.
